Hello Readers! I meant to have this up yesterday in honor of Veterans Day but, I have been so busy lately that I didn't get around to it. But here it is and I am super excited to be hosting my first review and giveaway!

I'm going to be frank, I love Faith Deployed because it brings God into the forefront of dealing with deployments. Take a look at this excerpt from the introduction:

I have been a Navy wife 5 years this December and I must say, out of all the military wife/military life books I have come across, none of them had a chapter or even a sentence on picking up my bible and looking to my Heavenly Father when storms came my way. Jocelyn Green and her contributing authors have written amazing devotionals that will have you laughing and even crying. Each branch of the United States military is represented in this book. Not only do you get to read inspiring and uplifting stories from our fellow military wives, the book poses a question after each story for you to think about and a prayer. I found myself pondering the questions over and over again throughout the day and even thinking back on the prayer.
Faith Deployed is divided into 8 sections. One section that I was drawn to was the section on temptations of the world. As a Navy wife here on the West coast, whenever the squadrons are deployed, you are guaranteed to hear about (and see) what we all call WESTPAC Widows. You know, spouses that have been left behind and have now started looking to fill the void of their active duty Sailor by meeting other people. I have seen so many marriages crumble during deployments because of this. Whenever I meet a new spouse to the military, I always tell them "Make sure your marriage is built on a strong foundation". In this section, the author Vanessa Peters hit the nail on the head! She posed the questions of are you making sure you stay out of tempting situations and in other story she asks if you are protecting your marriage. I truly believe that this section should be in pre-deployment briefs! No kidding.
All in all, Faith Deployed is truly a book that should be given to your all your friends who are married to the military like so many of us are. No matter if they are God fearing or not, the lessons and encouragement that one gets from this book is mind blowing. The holiday season is coming up, why not get this book for a friend today?!

Book Rating: 5 GOLD STARS because Faith Deployed gives us Christians something to continue building our relationship with God during trying times that we experience while being a military family. The book rocks!
