Asking for Forgiveness ::Writer's Workshop::

Mama's Losin' It

Mama Kat over at Mama's Losin' It! has this super cool link up party going on! And if you have EVER had writer's block (like I seem to get often), you will appreciate what she has put together. Every Tuesday she posts (or email if you so choose like I did) a new prompt for Writer's Workshop. You choose whatever prompt that floats your boat at the moment, post to your blog, go back and link it! It's that simple!

This week I chose the prompt: "What would you ask forgiveness for?"

Over the past 3 months I've been on a journey to become a better wife, mother and child of God. This journey has taken me on quite the roller coaster ride. I have studied my faith foundation, began developing Godly habits, decided on what I want my personal appearance to say about me and even started touching on the topic of family relationships. And the lessons on family relationships is the reason I chose "What Would You Ask Forgiveness For?" as my writing prompt for this week.

You know, it's kind of hard trying to be an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME wife, when you've never had anyone to model yourself after. I am flying by the seat of my pants here! So on that note, here is my forgiveness plea to my husband.

To My Knight in Shining Armor:

I have been truly blessed to have you as my mate. The days when I have to climb to the mountain top and only make it half way, you come up behind me, throw me on your back and carry me the rest of the way. Never once complaining. You rise and call me blessed and tell me that I surpass all the noble things that most women do; just like Proverbs 31:28-29 said you would.You call me your hero and confess your love for me each and every day.

On my journey to be the wife you deserve and more, these things I ask forgiveness for:

Forgive me for any day that you have come home and your castle was not well-organized.

Forgive me for any time that I failed to create a nurturing, caring and loving environment.

Forgive me for any time that I may have made you feel disrespected and unappreciated.

Forgive me for the nagging that I am sooooo guilty of!

Those mood swings?! Can you forgive me for those too?

And you know that one subject that I just beat into the ground?! Yeah ::looking around::. Is it possible for you to forgive me for that as well?

And most importantly sweetie, can you find it in your heart to forgive me for the times where I have not been the cheerful, loving, sassy but classy woman you married almost 5 years ago?! I apologize for letting outside influences take my joy that was reserved for you and our princess. From this day forth, you have my word that I will work on all these things and more! Because you are my heart and soul and no one else can love me the way you do.

With Eternal Love,

Aww.. that is so sweet! I loved it! It's awesome to find people who actually try to follow to the Bible's guidance and model themselves after it.
