Today's Gratification: Being blessed with the opportunity of being a mother!
This morning I woke up feeling really good for some reason. I hadn't slept that well since August when we were in New Orleans for our family reunion. Mini Me and I came downstairs and I asked her what she wanted for breakfast and of course she told me the usual "Hot cereal!". Once I got the oatmeal going, I stood there in the middle of the kitchen and said a prayer thanking God for waking us this morning and praying for a fun-filled day. In her tiny voice Mini Me said "Amen". I picked up my beautiful daughter, held her, and tears came to my eyes. For awhile I wasn't sure if I would ever have a chance to have a child. But what hit me more was that she is growing up and I wouldn't have these precious moments of picking her up and holding her close and just feeling her little body cling to me ::sniff sniff:: I HEART being a Mommy!
